Introduction
Hi! My name is Maiko Büttner and on this page I present a digital version of my work experience in the digital marketing and E-commerce.
My experiences
SEO Specialist at WE FASHION | June 2025 – Present
SEO / SEA Specialist at Blauwe Monsters | Aug 2020 – June 2025
At Blauwe Monsters I helped many clients with their online visibility in the search engine. Whether this was via paid clicks or organic ones, I enjoyed assisting clients with doing both. However, I found my passion in SEO and specifically technical SEO. Crawling websites with Screaming Frog and coding Python for data analysis were almost daily activities. Next to that, I loved exploring new features of SEO tools and new types of analysis and then sharing it with my fellow SEO specialists. I hope they enjoyed the training sessions as much as I did.
SEO Specialist at TotalWebBoost | Jan 2020 – Aug 2020
During my job at TotalWebBoost as a SEO Specialist I was responsible for generating organic traffic to the website hypotheekberekenen.nl. I did so by writing new content and optimizing existing content based on keyword research, improving technical SEO by continuously analyzing & tweaking the entire domain and eriching the internal & external backlink profile. Next to my SEO tasks I helped out on various CRO projects.
As a SEO Specialist at TotalWebBoost I used the following tools:
Commerce & Content Employee at Fietsenwinkel.nl | Jan – Mar & Sept – Dec 2019
After I did my graduation internship at International Bike Group, the company behind Fietsenwinkel.nl, I continued working within the E-Commerce department. This was a crucial moment for the company and its commerce platform. Fietsenwinkel.nl and Hellorider.dk were being re-branded and I was partly responsible for optimizing and testing the new website. This required SEO, content writing and overall website testing. Next to that, a conversion drop was expected, for that reason I helped with CRO through collecting data with Google Analytics and Hotjar and reported results to the development team.
After the website was live and most bugs were solved, I decided to give myself a break and traveled to China. Shortly after I came back to The Netherlands, I was asked to join the team again for preparing the website for the 2020 season. This included working on leasing platforms: websites where invited riders can pick their lease bike.
Graduation Intern E-Commerce at Fietsenwinkel.nl | Sept 2018 – Jan 2019
As an intern at International Bike Group, I was learning fast. While writing my thesis on a Marketing Strategy for HelloRider in the Swedish market, I learned quickly how to write content, create products and optimise the website for the search engine Google. This period in time was one of the most challenging terms of my studies at the AMSIB. Four days in a week I worked for fietsenwinkel.nl, with one day remaining to write my thesis. Next to that, I was working for Pathé Arena as my side job. Now, you might think: How is this possible? How can he keep up with that? Well, to be honest, I didn’t. I realised my research was suffering from the effort I put in other matters.
In december I quit my job at Pathé, I needed time to breathe. The breathing helped, within no time I produced the remaining part of my paper and successfully graduated at the AMSIB.
